Castle View Restaurant, Leeds Castle, Maidstone ME17 1PL, UK – 01622 767777
Had a nice lunch here, it's good because we have small children, and we are able to wear them out well before we eat, making sitting still for an hour bearable for them. Limited menu, but all tastes good, and was fresh. Wasn't so keen on my baked potatoe being served in a tin as this made it difficult to cut, but not a big deal. Table was clean, and staff helpful.
This is a very nice restaurant indeed with old exposed red stock bricks and big Oak timber beamed roof. Like an old converted barn The food menu is medium expensive but all dishes were fantastic. Also ask for a window table as these offer a fantastic view of the castle when your dining

I have visited The Windmill twice now. The first time was for a Sunday lunch, which was excellent, so I was excited to try them again for a midweek lunch. Booking was easy, I gave them a call an hour or so before we arrived. I appreciated that there was a car park, along with a nice sized garden (kids climbing area included). Upon entering, there was the bar and we were shown to our window table - where we could see the comings and goings of the village. The food was spectacular - a delicious main course of pork for me and steak for my partner. The desserts were excellent, including the cheese board (very generous serving). Oh, and do not forget to have the petit fours with the coffee! Definitely a place to go for a special lunch - or when you want to treat yourself!
Chance brought us to this pub for a meal. It serves restaurant quality food which is a mix of British, French and Eastern European. Their card is not big and neither are the portions, but they need not be. Do not expect pubgrub nor pub prices. To be honest, I found it a bit too expensive. But really nice, tasty and creative, with very friendly staff.

Amazing place. I remember when it was just a little pub on a busy road. Not so now. Huge extension and well looked after garden. Very busy on sunny days ... but wasn't kept waiting at all. Pizza was excellent and the dining area is huge. I like the fact that they have kept the original pub part too. Well worth a visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Potting Shed. It’s easy to find from the M20/A20. Food is prepared to a fine standard and presented really nicely. Relaxed, but not overly casual. We were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary and were pleased we did so here. Staff are attentive but not overpowering. The menu is broad. And just little things like olives served at room temperature and a discerning list of gins, all adds to the experience. Would highly recommend
