Castle View Restaurant, Leeds Castle, Maidstone ME17 1PL, UK – 01622 767777
Had a nice lunch here, it's good because we have small children, and we are able to wear them out well before we eat, making sitting still for an hour bearable for them. Limited menu, but all tastes good, and was fresh. Wasn't so keen on my baked potatoe being served in a tin as this made it difficult to cut, but not a big deal. Table was clean, and staff helpful.
This is a very nice restaurant indeed with old exposed red stock bricks and big Oak timber beamed roof. Like an old converted barn The food menu is medium expensive but all dishes were fantastic. Also ask for a window table as these offer a fantastic view of the castle when your dining

My favourite place to eat. Very friendly and funny staff that always make us smile. Excellent food and cocktails are the best we've tried! Sometimes you get the odd idiot in the garden but you get that everywhere and security soon sort them out. Kids love the big playground. Perfect for the whole family. ❤️🍺
Scarlett was very professional and attentive. Best waiter/waitress we've encountered here after two visits. Food and drink very nice and fun atmosphere. Table one was great. Thanks for the birthday plate!

A lovely traditional British pub with low ceilings, bar stools and a plethora of trinkets decorating the walls. The cozy atmosphere was enhanced by the warm Mediterranean staff member that served me. If only all the staff working at The Windmill were as professional and as warm as she was. The menu was standard traditional pub offerings with a Mediterranean twist. I had delicious range of fresh vegetarian options. All the food was prepared beautifully. If I was being picky, I would have loved the ice cream, that complemented the desert, to be softer. A high quality Kent pub restaurant experience. The restaurant area soon filled up by 7pm so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
I have visited The Windmill twice now. The first time was for a Sunday lunch, which was excellent, so I was excited to try them again for a midweek lunch. Booking was easy, I gave them a call an hour or so before we arrived. I appreciated that there was a car park, along with a nice sized garden (kids climbing area included). Upon entering, there was the bar and we were shown to our window table - where we could see the comings and goings of the village. The food was spectacular - a delicious main course of pork for me and steak for my partner. The desserts were excellent, including the cheese board (very generous serving). Oh, and do not forget to have the petit fours with the coffee! Definitely a place to go for a special lunch - or when you want to treat yourself!
